Some training games for junior players in Australian football

Any training regime in junior sport must include training games as an "integral part" of each session. Each training session should have at least one to help players understand the game and develop their playing skills in a game situation.
Below, I discuss three different training game scenarios that I have used with players from 6 years old to high school students. I used soccer football for the first time when preparing the Queensland State high school team in 1980 for the Darwin Schoolchildren National Championships to encourage players to learn more for soccer. The game that all players of different ages preferred were Hitting the Postgame. Below is an explanation of three of the games I have used.
